TPS Recruitment: An Exciting Opportunity
This is an excellent chance for experienced nurses and allied health professionals to join the Victims' Payment Board (VPB) in delivering a clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme. The role involves supporting individuals applying for compensation due to permanent disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with applicants face-to-face or virtually to review medical evidence and determine the permanence of their condition and percentage disablement
Gather relevant information from applicants and healthcare professionals, and compile comprehensive reports to support VPB decision-making
Work at pace, set boundaries, and manage conversations while maintaining professionalism
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience as a nurse
Fully registered with the NMC without sanctions or conditions of practice
Demonstrable background in mental health or psychiatric speciality
Excellent communication and report writing skills, with ability to work efficiently using IT systems
Benefits:
A competitive salary of £38,500 - £41,400 per year, plus up to 10% bonus
Initial 6 weeks' training and ongoing support provided
