Orthodontic Consultant Position

We are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Consultant to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Orthodontic department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver and supervise NHS clinics within the department, providing high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to continuing education, professional development, and clinical audit within the department.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care for patients with complex problems, particularly those requiring orthognathic surgery.
- Provide orthodontic treatment for patients with significant malocclusions, including those requiring multidisciplinary management.
- Work with the service manager and consultant colleagues to ensure the efficient running of the department.
- Joint Orthognathic MDT Clinics with Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
- Full-day Cleft Lip and Palate MDT Clinics with Consultant Cleft Surgeons.
- Orthodontic/Paediatric Dentistry MDT Clinics with Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry.
- Full registration with the General Dental Council.
- On the GDC Specialist List in Orthodontics.
- BDS or equivalent.
- Membership in Orthodontics or equivalent.
- Intercollegiate Fellowship Examination in Orthodontics or equivalent.
- Possession of a Certificate of Accreditation or eligibility for a CCT in Orthodontics.
