Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our gastroenterology service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies, upper and lower GI endoscopies
  • Manage Gastroenterology and General Medical patients as inpatients and outpatients
  • Support the delivery of the out-of-hours GI bleed rota
  • Contribute to the improvement of the emergency patient pathway by delivering early consultant-led specialist input for patients with GI disorders
  • Facilitate early discharge through timely endoscopies
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in gastroenterology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. A mentor will be provided to support the successful candidate in their role.
