Children and Families Specialist

As a Child and Family Specialist with Westmorland & Furness Council, you will play a vital role in the Support and Protect Team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families across the region. With positions based in Kendal and Penrith, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides essential support, guidance, and intervention to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities- Safeguard Children: You will undertake statutory duties, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.
- Focus on Outcomes: You will work towards meaningful, sustainable improvements in the lives of children and families.
- Qualifications: A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England are mandatory.
- Experience: You must have a proven track record in statutory children's social work, including safeguarding and court processes.
