Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Child Welfare Specialist to join our Support and Protect Team in Westmorland & Furness. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families across the region.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will provide essential support, guidance, and intervention to safeguard children and achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
  1. Safeguard Children: Undertake statutory duties, including Child in Need, Child Protection, and court proceedings.
  2. Focus on Outcomes: Work towards sustainable improvements in the lives of children and families.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Proven track record in statutory children's social work, including safeguarding and court processes.
  • Access to professional development and training opportunities.
Benefits
  • Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
