Locum Consultant in Paediatrics with a Special Interest in Diabetes

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Paediatrics with a special interest in Diabetes to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with a range of paediatric conditions, with a focus on diabetes and general paediatrics.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring best practice in paediatric care.
- Supervise and educate junior medical staff, including medical students and junior doctors, in paediatric medicine and diabetes care.
- Participate in audit and research activities, contributing to the improvement of paediatric care and services.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care and services.
- MBChB or equivalent qualification in medicine.
- Postgraduate qualification in Paediatric Medicine, such as MRCPCH or equivalent.
- Completion of General Professional Training in Paediatric Medicine.
- Completion of Higher Specialist Training in Paediatric Medicine, with a special interest in Diabetes.
- Level 3 Training Special Interest Module (SPIN) in Paediatric Diabetics or equivalent.
- Experience of teaching medical students and junior medical staff.
- Experience of audit and research activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
