Clinical Leadership Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Learning Disability or Mental Health Nurse to join our team in a Clinical Leadership Specialist role. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- To provide clinical and professional leadership to nurses and healthcare assistants within the unit.
- To support the Unit Manager and Lead Nurses in the implementation of policy, protocol, service and practice development within the unit.
- To continue to demonstrate specialist clinical skills in practice and provide support and advice regarding service development and the delivery of care, in partnership with service users, carers, staff, managers, and other agencies.

Person Specification:
- Registered with NMC RNLD/RNMH
- An understanding of relevant policy and drivers relevant to the area (e.g. MCA, MHA)
- Live on Mentor register or willing to work towards this
- Evidence of PBS training
- Evidence of project work that has had a positive impact on service users and the wider team
- Leadership training
- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to this post
- Evidence of management of caseload/shift lead
- Evidence of promoting positive examples to junior staff and students
- Experience of working on an inpatient unit
