About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our acute rehabilitation team, you will provide clinical input on the acute hospital site and be part of the clinical leadership of the team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation medicine and be able to offer sound clinical opinion on a range of acute medical conditions. You will be responsible for taking full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients and be able to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, Nurses and other health professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical input on the acute hospital site as part of the acute rehabilitation team
  • Be part of the clinical leadership of the team
  • Deliver specialist rehabilitation as part of the Major trauma centre pathway
  • Join in the clinical service delivery to the artificial limb unit

Requirements

  • Full Registration with the GMC GMC Specialist Registration (or expected inclusion within 6 months)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or significant experience in post graduate training/teaching
  • Ability to manage and lead medical/surgical teams
  • Ability to lead on smooth and efficient running of the unit
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and manage high intensity workload
