Job Title: Duty Manager - Canterbury, Kent

YHA Canterbury is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Duty Manager to join our team. As a Duty Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the management of an operational budget and the delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guiding and supporting team members working in all areas of the hostel, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Utilising our systems for efficient guest check-ins, check-outs and other management functions.
  • Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.
  • Assisting in the kitchen and serving food and drinks with warmth and hospitality, enhancing the dining experience, while engaging in authentic, inclusive conversations.
  • Deputising for the Hostel/Deputy Manager, managing the daily hostel operation in their absence.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to cover different shifts and tasks.
  • Previous experience in a face-to-face customer service role is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service, especially in managing and delivering high-quality service, is highly beneficial.
