Job Details

Participate in the education and care of a year 6 child with ASD and challenging behaviour, working closely with the school team to develop strategies for their support.

About the Role

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide patient and compassionate support to a child with autism and complex needs, helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the child with daily tasks, provide emotional support and develop strategies for managing challenging behaviour, work closely with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans and maintain accurate records of progress.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be patient, understanding and able to work collaboratively with the school team, have experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviour and be able to maintain confidentiality.
