Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Northgate Medical Practice. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide support to our healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, including health checks, urine sampling, blood pressure monitoring, ECG recording, phlebotomy, and wound care.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as data collection, data quality improvement, and production of performance and quality information.
  • Health and Safety: Promote and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to practice health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and colleagues, recognizing the importance of effective communication in delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Quality Improvement: Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and team activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the team's performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience of working within a nursing team and dealing with vulnerable patients.
  • Qualifications: Qualified to NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care.
