About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our multidisciplinary care team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the care team in providing an effective and competent level of care under the guidance and supervision of the MultiDisciplinary Team (MDT) and as determined by the patient's care plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, report, and maintain a healthy, safe, and secure workplace by knowing and taking account of the Health and Safety at Work Act, Reporting injuries, diseases, and dangerous occurrences regulations, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (1985), European H&S Regulations Numbers 1-6, Food Act (1996), and Adhere to Trust policies and local service protocols.
  • Engage and lead ward audits and support staff to maintain KMPT and national ward standards.
  • Join a multi-disciplinary team, working with Adults who have a wide range of mental health needs.
  • Function as part of a team and have an interest in initiating therapeutic engagement with the service users.
  • Be a role model to junior staff and support the MDT in delivering patient-centred care.
