Job Title: Specialist Autism Team Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Autism Team Leader to join our team at Talent Finder. As a Specialist Autism Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing a bespoke package of care, support, and education to 2 young adults with autism.

About the Role:

  • Provide care and skills training to young adults with autism in a family home setting.
  • Work collaboratively with parents and professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Deliver education and learning opportunities that promote independence and life skills.
  • Contribute to the development of programs of observation and assessment.
  • Champion the delivery of education and model effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure high-quality care and education.

Requirements:

  • Patience, calmness under pressure, and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Previous experience working with young adults with autism and a commitment to their learning and development.
  • Willingness to engage with training packages, including intensive interaction, PECs, TEACCH, and British Sign Language.
  • Hold or work towards NVQ level 3 or more.
  • Experience in personal care.
