Apprentice Commis Chef Opportunity

Shepherd Neame is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Commis Chef. This 12-month program will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food to specification
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
  • Assist in food preparation and presentation
  • Develop skills in food rotation, equipment preparation, and cleaning

Training and Development:

As part of our Commis Chef Academy program, you will attend workshops and development days to boost your knowledge, skills, and behaviours. You will also have access to an online learning platform & portfolio system.

What We Need from You:
  • At least 6 hours per week in paid hours to complete your off-the-job training (On & Off site)
  • Ability to attend training at the Chef Academy roughly every four to six weeks
Next Steps:

Once you have successfully completed this level 2 apprenticeship, you might be able to progress into a Senior Production or Chef De Partie role.
