About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Commis Chef to join our team at Shepherd Neame. As a Commis Chef, you will play a key role in the kitchen, working closely with our experienced chefs to prepare and present high-quality dishes to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation, including washing, cutting, and portioning ingredients as instructed
  • Cook food to specification and present dishes to a high standard
  • Maintain good food hygiene practices and ensure that all equipment is clean and in good working order
  • Contribute to kitchen cleaning and maintenance, ensuring that the kitchen is clean and tidy at all times

Training and Development

As a Commis Chef Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through our Commis Chef Academy programme. This will include:

  • Master classes and workshops with industry experts
  • One-to-one coaching and progress reviews with your line manager
  • Access to an online learning platform and portfolio system
What's Next?

Once you have completed your apprenticeship, you may be able to progress into a Senior Production or Chef De Partie role. We are committed to helping you develop your skills and career, and we offer a range of opportunities for progression and development within our company.
