Job Description

Job Title: Private Sector Housing Team Leader - Environmental Health Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to lead our Private Sector Housing Team and deliver quality services to our residents and businesses. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our council meets all relevant obligations within disabled facilities grants, housing conditions, home improvement loans, HMO licensing, empty properties, and caravan site licensing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Private Sector Housing Team and deliver quality services to our residents and businesses.
  • Ensure that our council meets all relevant obligations within disabled facilities grants, housing conditions, home improvement loans, HMO licensing, empty properties, and caravan site licensing.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve our services and meet the needs of our residents and businesses.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Environmental Health.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in the area of disabled facilities grants.
  • Regulatory private sector housing work areas experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and mediation skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a track record of dealing with complex cases, contributing to business process improvement, and leading by example.
