Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to lead our Private Sector Housing Team and deliver quality services to our residents and businesses.

The successful candidate will possess an extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and guidance, ensuring the council meets all obligations within disabled facilities grants, housing conditions, home improvement loans, HMO licensing, empty properties, and caravan site licensing.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Private Sector Housing Team to deliver quality services
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to meet team objectives
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with officers, members, and stakeholders
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving problems effectively

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Environmental Health, with detailed knowledge and experience in disabled facilities grants and regulatory private sector housing work areas. Experience in a supervisory role is an advantage.
