Primary Inclusion Specialist for Children with SEND

PK Education is committed to providing high-quality education and support services to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We are seeking a skilled Primary SEND Support Specialist to join our team at a primary resource provision in Nuneaton, UK.
About the Role
This role involves providing tailored support and guidance to young learners with SEND within our vibrant learning environment. As a Primary SEND Support Specialist, you will work closely with permanent staff, SEND coordinators, and external professionals to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to children with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Collaborating with teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans and interventions that support the academic, social, and emotional development of children with SEND.
- Implementing sensory integration techniques, communication strategies, and behaviour management techniques to support children with diverse needs.
Requirements
- Relevant experience working with children with SEND, particularly with primary aged students.
- A sound understanding of primary curriculum frameworks and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting the unique abilities and challenges of children with SEND.
