Salary and Benefits


The salary for this position is estimated to be around £30,000 per annum, with a discretionary bonus of up to 30% of base salary. The company also offers financial study support towards CIMA or ACCA, generous holiday entitlement, and free onsite parking.



Job Description


The Assistant Management Accountant will play an essential role in managing financial operations and supporting decision-making processes. Key responsibilities include:



  • Preparing monthly management accounts and handling bookkeeping.


  • Coordinating with payroll providers and performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.


  • Managing intercompany balances and maintaining primary responsibility for company banking.


  • Managing the Fixed Asset register and depreciation schedules.


  • Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.


  • Preparing key financial documents, including income statements and balance sheets.


  • Conducting analytical reviews to identify performance trends and recommending improvements.


  • Monitoring financial controls and improving financial information systems for greater efficiency.




Required Skills and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for effective data management.


  • A qualified or part-qualified accountant status with 3-5 years experience in management accounting or a similar role.


  • Knowledge of Xero (desirable but not essential).


  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information to colleagues at all levels.




Location and Work Arrangements


This role is based in Henley-on-Thames and requires the ability to work from the office. Flexible working can be discussed at interview stage.
