Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced conservator to join our team as a Time-Based Media Conservator Specialist.

This role will involve working with the time-based media team to deliver high-quality conservation services for artworks in the Tate collection.

The successful candidate will be responsible for examining and processing time-based media artworks, documenting their findings, and communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

In this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in time-based media conservation, working with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborating with a dedicated team.

This is a fixed-term position until 30th June 2024, offering a unique chance to contribute to the acquisition and preservation of a significant gift of artworks to the Tate collection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and process time-based media artworks
  • Document findings and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the time-based media team to deliver conservation services

Requirements:

  • Recognized qualification in conservation or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability to work proactively within a team and communicate effectively
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position based in London. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with occasional travel to external locations.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
