Parks Conservation Specialist
As a Parks Conservation Specialist at The Royal Parks, you will be responsible for the conservation and management of over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats, and historic buildings across eight Royal Parks in London. Your extensive regular travel to all parks will provide opportunities to engage with various ecosystems and work closely with colleagues.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we strive to preserve and protect our natural heritage. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and conserve the natural environments within our parks, ensuring they remain vibrant and healthy for future generations. This includes monitoring wildlife populations, managing invasive species, and implementing conservation strategies to maintain the balance of our ecosystem.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of environmental management principles and practices. You should possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public. A degree in Environmental Science or a related field is required, and relevant experience in conservation management would be advantageous.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
