About the Role

The Executive Director, Parks and Visitor Services is a key leadership position within the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead the strategic directions of the parks management and visitor services functions within the Parks and Wildlife Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the strategic direction and management of the department as a member of its Corporate Executive.
  • Develop and implement departmental standards, policies, procedures and guidelines pertaining to the parks management and visitor services functions, management of the division, and delivery of outcomes.
  • Provide policy and specialist advice to the Minister, Director General, Deputy Director General, Conservation and Parks Commission and other relevant parties.
  • Create a strategic direction for the division, aligned with the department's strategic directions and values, and provide leadership, creativity and initiative.
  • Ensure sound strategic, operational and business planning and management for the division.
  • Lead change management initiatives relevant to the department and the division.
