Job Description

Birdworld Surrey is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conservation Education Guide to join our team. As a key member of our Conservation Education Team, you will be responsible for delivering educational programs, public outreach activities, engagement and interpretation, talks, experiences, and events. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse collection of species and contribute to the conservation of native species.

About the Role

This role involves working alongside our teams to produce high-quality content for social media channels, support storytelling of the animal collection, and ensure maximum public engagement. The successful candidate will also support the delivery of seasonal and themed events throughout the year through public engagement and workshops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver educational programs that inspire enthusiasm in the diversity of the natural world.
  • Develop and implement conservation projects in and around the Birdworld site to protect and monitor native species.
  • Work with our teams to create engaging content for social media channels and support storytelling of the animal collection.
  • Support the delivery of seasonal and themed events throughout the year through public engagement and workshops where required.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also receive paid overtime at the standard hourly rate for the position and a full outdoor-appropriate uniform.
