Job Summary

This is a fixed-term/secondment position for 2 years due to secondment cover. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

About the Role

We are seeking to employ a band 6 Registered Nurse with either research experience and/or extensive clinical experience with an interest in research. The post holder will contribute to the assessment and management of the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical trials.

Main Responsibilities
  • Caring for patients through early phase trials
  • Managing a portfolio of trials
  • Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients/research participants
  • Liaising with supporting departments, Principal Investigators, research sponsors and research colleagues
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Specialist knowledge of research or equivalent demonstrable knowledge in a disease area
  • Knowledge of clinical or research terminology
  • Ability to make independent decisions and advise others on appropriate action
