At Choice Care, we are committed to providing high-quality care and services to our residents. As a Facilities Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining our care homes and ensuring that they provide a comfortable living environment for our residents.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus benefits. As a Facilities Assistant, you will work 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with core hours from 10am to 3pm. You will also be required to participate in a compulsory 7 nights Out of Hours emergency cover per month, paid at a standby and hourly rate.

Job Description
  • Perform a variety of tasks such as touch-up paintwork, fencing repairs, changing light bulbs, unblocking toilets, diagnosing leaks, adjusting heating, moving furniture, measuring windows and doors, fitting fire doors, replacing kitchen cupboard doors, locating fuse boxes, repairing damaged walls, fitting new fixtures and fittings, and laying vinyl floor tiles.

You will be working in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. Our Facilities Team is responsible for ensuring that our care homes are well-maintained and provide a comfortable living environment for our residents.

Requirements
  • You must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently.
  • Good communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with colleagues and management.
  • You should have a basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
