About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Great Yarmouth. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting children, young people, and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and deliver interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Engage with service users and their carers to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Work autonomously within defined boundaries, demonstrating accountability and professionalism.
  • Participate in ongoing assessments, risk management, and care planning.
  • Develop and maintain a competence portfolio, ensuring ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Experience working with service users with mental health needs and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of mental health issues, risk assessment, and the Care Programme Approach.
