About the Role



The Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust is seeking a skilled and experienced Mental Health Liaison Practitioner to join their team. As a Mental Health Liaison Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals presenting to the James Paget University Hospital with mental health issues.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Assess the mental health needs of individuals attending the hospital
  • Work collaboratively with acute hospital colleagues to provide effective support and treatment
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals
  • Contribute to the development of the Mental Health Liaison team's service and strategies
  • Provide education and training to acute hospital staff on mental health issues


Requirements




  • Nursing degree or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in mental health risk assessment and management
  • Competent assessment skills and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing priorities
