Job Description

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position within our busy Emergency Assessment Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supervision and support to the multi-disciplinary team as shift coordinator on a day-to-day basis.

Main Responsibilities
  • To develop, manage, and monitor the performance of a team of nurses, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety are achieved and maintained at all times.
  • Assist the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in managing staff within the Emergency Assessment Unit, including human resource management, clinical governance, and risk management.
Clinical Practice
  • Demonstrate and promote a patient- and family-centred style of clinical practice.
  • Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care from admission to discharge, demonstrating a collaborative approach through effective communication and decision-making between the multi-professional team, patients, and significant others.

We offer an estimated salary of £45,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
