About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health professional to join our team at Devon County Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing out-of-hours mental health services and working closely with our Emergency Duty Service team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing mental health assessments and interventions in out-of-hours settings
  • Working closely with the Emergency Duty Service team to provide a coordinated response to mental health crises
  • Developing and implementing specialist mental health service models
  • Providing training and support to colleagues on mental health issues

Requirements:

  • Registered qualified professional (Social Work, Nurse, OT, psychologist)
  • Currently authorised as an AMHP (Post-Grad Certificate in Mental Health)
  • Extensive knowledge of and ability to apply relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act
  • Valid driving licence
  • Experience of working independently undertaking MHA assessments
