Job Title: Mental Health Senior Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Senior Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality comprehensive mental health services to individuals with complex psychosis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive post-registration experience working at band 5 in mental health, with a substantial background in managing/leading a busy caseload of clients with a range of mental health conditions within a community setting. You will be responsible for providing expert assessment and treatment for people with complex mental health difficulties and their carers, as well as contributing to the clinical leadership of the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a defined caseload with a focus on providing expert assessment and treatment for people with complex mental health difficulties and their carers.
  • Contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other members and participating in team and service development, and evaluation.
  • Provide a range of evidence-based recovery-focused interventions.
  • Employ a strengths-based approach, using a person-centred approach to work with individuals and their carers.
Person Specification
  • Extensive post-registration experience working at band 5 in mental health.
  • Substantial experience of managing/leading a busy caseload of clients with a range of mental health conditions within a community setting.
  • Experience of clinically supervising junior and unqualified staff and mentoring students.
