About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our First Response Service team in Exeter. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk evaluations to identify the most effective care pathways for individuals in crisis.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with other mental health services and agencies to ensure seamless support.
  • Provide evidence-based clinical interventions, making autonomous clinical decisions to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve the quality of mental health care and reduce hospital admissions.
  • Champion people's rights, dignity, and equality, ensuring that all individuals receive respectful and compassionate care.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in managing complex caseloads and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and assessment skills, with the ability to engage with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health issues.
  • Ability to work autonomously, making sound clinical decisions and taking ownership of problems.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as mental health nursing or social work.
  • Current registration with a professional body, such as the NMC.
