Administrative Support Officer for MPhil Programmes

The Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused individual to provide administrative support for our successful taught MPhil programmes.

The post holder will be involved in all aspects of administration, from admissions to awards, supporting MPhil students and teaching staff, as well as organising teaching sessions and events. You will work closely with the MPhil Directors, the Academic Secretary, and the wider course team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support for MPhil programmes
  • Supporting MPhil students and teaching staff
  • Organising teaching sessions and events
  • Working closely with the MPhil Directors and the Academic Secretary

Requirements:

  • Education to at least degree level or equivalent level of practical experience
  • Previous experience working in Higher Education is desirable

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Funding for the role is currently for 5 years from commencement in post. The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment.
