About the Role


We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our friendly professional service team as an administrator for two successful MPhil programmes in Micro and Nanotechnology Enterprise and Advanced Materials for the Energy Transition at the University of Cambridge.


This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week with funding for 5 years from commencement in post. The role involves all aspects of administration, from admissions to awards, supporting MPhil students and teaching staff, as well as organising teaching sessions and events.


Key Responsibilities



  • Providing administrative support for the programme
  • Supporting MPhil students and teaching staff
  • Organising teaching sessions and events
  • Working closely with the MPhil Directors, Academic Secretary, and wider course team

Requirements



  • Educated to at least degree level or equivalent qualification
  • Prior experience working in Higher Education desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively

Salary and Benefits


The estimated salary for this role is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. The University offers a range of benefits, including hybrid working options, training opportunities, and a supportive work environment.

This role is based at the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge.
