The Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge is seeking an organised and detail-focused individual to provide administrative support for our successful taught MPhil programmes.

The post holder will be involved in all aspects of administration, from admissions to awards, supporting MPhil students and teaching staff, as well as organising teaching sessions and events.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the MPhil Directors, Academic Secretary, and wider course team
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth delivery of the MPhil programmes
  • Organising teaching sessions and events, including coordinating logistics and communicating with staff and students

Applicants must be educated to at least degree level or equivalent, and previous experience working in Higher Education would be desirable.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week, with funding for 5 years from commencement in post.
