About the Opportunity

We are excited to offer a Community Speech and Language Lead position within our North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. This role will provide a unique opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective Speech and Language Therapy services for adults with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists, managing a caseload, and contributing to the development of policies and protocols related to Speech and Language Therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Speech and Language Therapists, including supervision, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Manage a caseload of adult clients with learning disabilities, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and protocols related to Speech and Language Therapy services.
  • Participate in research and quality assurance activities to improve service delivery and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Significant experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and leading a team of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Knowledge of assessment and therapeutic management of communication disability and dysphagia.

Salary Range: £53,000 - £66,000 per annum
