About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Learning Disability Clinical Specialist to join our team in providing high-quality Speech and Language Therapy services to adults with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload, assessing and diagnosing communication difficulties, and developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.

They will also be expected to provide training and guidance to carers and other professionals, contribute to the development of policies and protocols, and participate in research and quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of adult clients with learning disabilities, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Provide specialist training and guidance to carers and other professionals on communication disability and dysphagia.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and protocols related to Speech and Language Therapy services.
  • Participate in research and quality assurance activities to improve service delivery and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Significant experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
  • Knowledge of assessment and therapeutic management of communication disability and dysphagia.

Salary Range: £42,000 - £55,000 per annum
