Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Nurse Team Lead to join our innovative and dedicated team delivering outstanding care to the communities of Oxfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of district nurses, providing clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered general nurse with proven leadership experience to join our district nursing service. You will be responsible for leading a team of district nurses, providing clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will also be responsible for managing and developing the team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of district nurses
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Manage and develop the team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent patient care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure best practice
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Registered General Nurse (adult) qualification
  • Practice Assessor and Supervisor qualification or NMC Mentor qualification converted to Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor qualification
  • Evidence of Level 6 academic study or ability to demonstrate Level 6 academic writing
  • District Nursing Specialist Practitioner Award or commitment to complete District Nursing Specialist Practitioner Qualification modules over a maximum 5-year period
