The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of district nurses, providing clinical leadership and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. They will work closely with the community nursing service to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of district nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the team
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and experience
  • Work closely with the community nursing service to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Contribute to the development of the district nursing service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registered General Nurse (adult) qualification
  • Practice Assessor and Supervisor qualification or NMC Mentor qualification
  • Evidence of Level 6 academic study or ability to demonstrate Level 6 academic writing
  • District Nursing Specialist Practitioner Award or commitment to complete District Nursing Specialist Practitioner Qualification modules over a maximum 5-year period
  • Formal management and/or leadership experience within healthcare
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Evidence of clinical leadership
