Job Details

We are seeking a Retirement Housing Officer to join our team at Fife Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Retirement Housing Services to a designated complex, providing welfare, monitoring, and retirement housing assistance to tenants. Our ideal candidate will have moderate experience of working with Older People or service users with Specific Needs, and be able to demonstrate an ability to work on their own initiative.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a range of welfare, monitoring, and retirement housing assistance to tenants.
  • Delivering advice and assistance to sustain independent living solutions to a designated complex/group of tenants.
  • Responding to emergency situations.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Intermediate experience of working with Older People or service users with Specific Needs.
  • The ability to deal with crisis situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of internal/external partner agencies.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills and IT skills.

Working Arrangements

The normal working week is 9.00 am to 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday. A requirement of this post is to work on public holidays.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
