Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Fife Council Maintenance Specialist. This is a challenging role that requires the ability to provide a specialist internal and external cleaning service across the council and its partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide a fast response emergency call-out service out with normal working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • To work alone or as part of a team, providing a regular and effective service, including clearing and cleaning of domestic premises, gardens, sheds, and garages for Housing and Social Work.
  • To carry out initial risk assessments prior to each job, identifying any risks within the building/area, including signs of needle/drug use and performing full needle sweeps where required.

Requirements:

  • A driving licence is required for this post (including Class C1 vehicles).
  • Prior to confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
  • You will be required to attend Induction Training before starting in post.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £23,633.23 to £25,829.49 per annum, paid 4 weekly. You will also receive a range of benefits, including:

Location:

This role is based in Fife, covering all areas of the region. You will be required to travel throughout Fife to carry out your duties, so a full driving licence is essential.
