Job Details

Fife Council currently has 2 permanent vacancies for Technical Operatives covering all areas of Fife, providing a service to various agencies.

Working as part of a team based at Bankhead Central, this demanding role involves covering Fife wide.

Working 36 hours per week from 5:30am to 1:12pm, Monday to Friday, the salary is £23,633.23 to £25,829.49.

Fife Council's Technical Operatives provide a specialist internal and external cleaning service across the Council and its partners.

This includes providing a fast response emergency call-out service out with normal working hours.

You will earn a competitive salary with access to a range of benefits, including:

  • £12.59 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Other duties may include:

Carrying out initial risk assessments prior to each job, identifying any risks within the building or area.

Cleaning up of biohazards, including bodily fluids, and use of specialist chemicals.

Clearing and cleaning of domestic premises, gardens, sheds, and garages for Housing and Social Work.

The Person

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team.

A Driving Licence is required for this post, including Class C1 vehicles.

You will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

You will be required to attend Induction Training before starting in post.
