Job Details

You will play a key role in the development and amendment of support plans to meet the assessed needs of service users within the Short Term Assessment Review Team at Fife Council.

Be proactive in support planning, monitoring service users' target outcomes to ensure they are appropriate and up-to-date to achieve goals, risk assessments, management plans, and case notes/communication sheets.

Deliver support that enables carers to continue caring and empowers the enablement of service users. Support personal care tasks, including washing, bathing, maintaining personal hygiene, continence care, nutrition, and fluid intake.

Promote mobility and independence to support the delivery of enablement targets.

Pushing and pulling of equipment, such as hoists, wheelchairs, and bathing chairs, is an integral part of the role.

You will work in a locality but may be required to cover the full Fife area.

A car driver or access to your own car would be desirable due to the large geographical area to cover.

The Person

  • You must hold or be willing to achieve the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF Level 6, known as SVQ2 Social Services, or equivalent to meet SSSC registration within the first period of registration.
  • You should be able to provide a regular and effective service, work to shift patterns, undertake physical requirements associated with the job, and work under minimal supervision.
  • You will follow instructions in a safe and responsible manner, have an awareness of Adult Support and Protection and National Care Standards.
  • You should have experience responding to situations in a calm and flexible way.
