Unlock Your Potential as a Senior Vice President and Vice President of Tax

Become a key player in our EMEA Tax Department, driving VAT compliance and providing expert advice to support our business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the VAT team in ensuring UK VAT compliance, identifying risks, and implementing controls to minimize liabilities and compliance issues.
  2. Partner with our outsourced tax compliance provider and regional Finance teams to manage indirect tax compliance in the EMEA region, driving automation and standardization of VAT compliance processes.
  3. Evaluate business change initiatives and advise on regional VAT implications, working closely with the EMEA Banking and Asset Management Commercial teams.
  4. Provide VAT advice on ad-hoc queries, focusing on risk management and commercial aspects.
  5. Stay up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and new indirect tax regimes, attending industry forums and developing strong relationships with external advisors.
  6. Provide indirect tax advice and training to Technology and Finance teams, ensuring finance and billing system modifications meet VAT reporting obligations.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA (or equivalent) with proven tax experience in a large group environment or advisory firm.
  2. Strong UK VAT technical background, some EU VAT knowledge, and system automation experience gained ideally in the financial services sector.
  3. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Oracle ERP is helpful.
  4. An individual focused on accountability, operating within and enhancing the existing tax risk and control framework.
  5. An analytical and process-driven individual with problem-solving skills and a risk-based approach to making decisions and recommendations.
  6. A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively and fostering stronger working relationships within the Corporate Tax Department and the wider business.
