Job DescriptionThe Senior Wellbeing Practitioner role involves working closely with schools and colleges to provide expert emotional wellbeing and mental health support as part of plans to transform children and young people's mental health through the NHS Long-Term Plan.
You will work with graduate qualified healthcare professionals or have completed EMHP/CWP qualification and be fully registered with the appropriate professional or regulatory body. You will have extensive clinical experience working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality, brief outcome-focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties in and around schools.
- Promoting the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families in the community through evidenced-based clinical interventions.
- Undertaking initial school-based and community-based assessments and delivering a range of early interventions to children and young people with a range of emotional and behavioral difficulties.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy) or completed EMHP/CWP qualification.
- Extensive clinical experience working with children and young people with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
- High-level knowledge of short-term and long-term clinical interventions in children's mental wellbeing services.
We offer a competitive salary of £41,000 - £52,200 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide:
