**Job Title:** Senior Software Development Trainer - AWS

**Estimated Salary:** $140,000 - $200,000 per year

AWS is seeking a highly experienced and passionate technical trainer to implement a global, world-class multi-level software development education program. As a Senior Software Development Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering a defined curriculum program for tenured technical learners on their journey to become software development engineers.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in a training role, preferably technical training for software development engineering. You will have advanced knowledge of various programming languages and associated tools (Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS) as well as software development concepts (object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, application security, building applications at scale, API development, coding pipelines, and CI/CD).

You will work closely with the Tech U team to review and refine training content, lesson plans, coding challenges, instructional video, and hands-on experiences. You will also stay up-to-date on the latest AWS developer services and generative AI developments to maintain subject matter expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate interactive class discussions/activities, answer learner questions, and provide personalized guidance using best practices in adult learning theory.
  • Provide continuous feedback on course materials to keep pace with the rapid evolution of software development methodologies, languages, and tools.
  • Collaborate with the Tech U team to review and refine training content, lesson plans, coding challenges, instructional video, and hands-on experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience as a back-end software development engineer, software architect, or data analyst.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services.
  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led content with technical subject matter content.
  • Java SE8 Certified or higher.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail - able to implement globally, and at scale.
  • Ability to travel (~30%).
