Lead Clinical Psychologist Vacancy

We are recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our Children's Intensive Support Team, providing specialist applied psychology services to improve outcomes for young people. As a key member of our team's leadership, you will be responsible for supervision, governance, and psychological practice through consultation, supervision, formulation, and training.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
  • To conduct comprehensive assessments and interventions, team formulation, consultation, training, service evaluation, and supervision of other qualified staff.
  • To work directly with service users, their families, or carers, requiring experience in working with young people who are autistic or have a learning disability and mental health needs.

Key Requirements
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology as approved by the HPC, including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
  • Knowledge of highly specialised psychological therapies and assessment methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills to share technical and clinically sensitive information with clients, families, carers, and professional colleagues within and outside the NHS.
Job Specifications

This role involves community-based work, requiring travel across the Trust. A car owner/driver or suitable alternative transport arrangements are essential.

Salary Information

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
