About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children and Young People Support Specialist to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential outreach support services to victims/survivors of domestic violence and abuse at high risk levels.
  • Develop and deliver individualized support plans to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Work collaboratively with agencies to advocate for clients and provide practical assistance throughout the criminal justice system.
  • Support clients in achieving independence and self-development through safe and stable living arrangements.

Requirements

  • IDVA qualification or equivalent experience working in domestic/sexual violence.
  • Qualification or training equivalent to minimum level 3 education standard in a relevant field (e.g., health and social care).
  • Demonstrable ability to use Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults and children, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding concerns.
  • Fluency in English and at least one main BME language.
  • Minimum of one year working with BME communities experiencing forced marriage & honour-based violence and abuse.
