Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an experienced Behavioural Support Expertise Lead to join our team at Fernhill Court, a large service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and embedding positive behaviour plans and strategies, working closely with the management team to create a positive culture and transform lives of the people we support.
About the Role
- To lead the development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, ensuring each individual is supported to maximise their opportunities for dignity, personal choice, and independence.
- Collaborate with the management team to assess needs and make recommendations to enhance the quality of life for individuals, ensuring maximum engagement in meaningful activities.
- Promote Active Support principles, enabling individuals to develop their independence in everyday and community-based activities.
- Support services to engage in local initiatives, projects, and pathways, including referrals to Learning Disability Teams and other specialists as appropriate.
- Ensure sustainability of practice through service-level training, coaching, and mentoring, including carrying out S&D meetings with support staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 PBS or Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Experience working with behaviours that challenge in a Supported Living or Residential setting.
- Experience working with people with Learning Disabilities or Mental Health.
- A team player, wanting to promote positive change in service.

- Estimated salary range £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
