Clinical Nurse Specialist

Role Overview
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities at East Coast Community Healthcare CIC, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the organization while providing high-quality patient care. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care pathways, promote patient advocacy, and ensure proactive discharge management.
Key Responsibilities
- Discuss treatment options with patients and their families, taking into account their cultural backgrounds and preferences.
- Act as a resource for other healthcare professionals, providing guidance on nursing matters and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Take charge of the service in the absence of a Sister/Charge Nurse, leading the team and maintaining a safe environment.
- Participate in clinical supervision and contribute to the clinical governance agenda through clinical risk assessment and audit.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop care pathways and work with patients towards self-care and independence.
- Plan and organize complex clinical activities, ensuring best practice is delivered to patients.
- Maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records, adhering to ECCH Policy and Nursing and Midwifery Council standards.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Policy, Fire and Environmental Waste Regulations, and implement ECCH policies and procedures.

You will also need to be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of clinical pathways and care standards.
