The Clinical Educator will support staff within Primary Care Homes teams in developing skills and competency in line with workforce and development Strategy. They will be part of a small team of Clinical Educators embedded within services that will deliver a programme of education on appropriate skills and knowledge across the workforce to meet the demands of service and maintain clinical practice.
Main duties of the job include supporting workforce in practice to embed evidenced based practice and high quality standards of service delivery. The postholder will plan and deliver training to support Clinical Education and Workforce Development Strategy. They will also work with leadership to understand gaps in skills and knowledge and plan accordingly in line with their role.
Key responsibilities of the job include planning and delivering training to support Clinical Education and Workforce Development Strategy. The postholder will participate in the creation of competency frameworks and be able to use a wide range of educational/training equipment and technology. They will maintain accurate documentation around all aspects of training delivery including planning, attendance, and evaluation.
The postholder will support workforce in practice to embed evidenced-based practice and high-quality standards of service delivery. They will work with staff/students on request, particularly if they have specific learning needs identified/ during induction period. The postholder will also contribute to effective partnership working between practice placement areas and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
The successful candidate will have a professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Nurse Level 1 (Adult). They will hold a BSc in Nursing Practice or evidence of working at an equivalent level. The postholder will have mentor preparation or equivalent and train the trainer qualification or willingness to undertake.
We estimate the salary for this role to be approximately £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary for a Clinical Educator role in the East Anglia region.
